Questions to Ask Before You Buy a Patent Bar Review Course
- Are your materials fully updated to include the recent law and procedure changes as reflected in the Eighth Edition of the MPEP (August 2001)?
LPBR reviews and updates all course material and supplements for each sitting of the PTO Exam to incorporate changes in the relative laws and/or rules, and always includes the most current version of the MPEP.
- If the unthinkable happens, and I don’t pass, will you provide an analysis to guide me in my appeal?
A copy of Jim Longacre's analysis of each exam is posted on the website within days of its release, and emailed to all students registered for that exam.
- If I don’t pass and want to take your course again, what do you charge?
If the unthinkable happens and you don't pass, and an appeal is not granted, you may retake our course for a minimal cost of $300 to cover material expenses. This will include copies of all update materials and/or additions for the next exam.
- Can I speak directly to the person in charge?
Jim and Sue are always available by phone during normal business hours, or by direct mail:
jrlpatent@aol.com smaheu@patentpublishing.com
- How many practice exams do I do as part of your course?
During the course, each student is expected to not only review past PTO exams, but will take one quiz and one practice exam each day, for a total of 4 quizes, 4 practice exams, and one final exam.
- Will you be providing additional material and practice exams to me by email?
LPBR provides additional material via emial to all registered students, including "Question-of-the-Day" starting about 6 weeks prior to the exam.
